Hairstylist Hans Henrick started his hairdressing career as an apprentice in his native Denmark in 1989. He over time turned his great passion and curiosity for hair and photography into a freelance career working as a fashion consultant and hairdresser on various art/fashion projects, photographic/film productions, fashion shows and commercial settings. His vision with hair is to transcend the typical physical structures into identifiable silhouettes with an adequate touch of twisted classicism or eccentrism.
Hans Henrick moved to Paris in 1997 and stayed 11 years, working as hairstylist for celebrities, fashion editors, actors, models and musicians. He assisted, over a period, hairstylers such as Alain Pichon, Adam Bryan and Vivienne McKinder. He has also worked with some of the professionals most notable hairdressing teams (Tony and Guy, Bumble and Bumble). He has styled the hair on top models Marianne Schröder, Lynda Byrne, May Andersen and Devon Aoki on the Parisian catwalks. He collaborated with fashion designers, Yves Saint Laurent, Yohji Yamamoto, Balmain and magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire where he worked on several occasions with top photographer Miles Aldridge.
